Saint Leo Defeats UNO, Mavs Split Day

ORLANDO, Fla.--After defeating Truman State 4-2 in the first match of the day, UNO fell to Saint Leo 2-0 at the Rebel Spring Games.
UNO and Saint Leo were scoreless until the bottom of the second when the Lions scored two runs.
Lions starting pitcher, Katie Heintz held the Mavericks to just three hits. For UNO, Cheris Kuster gave up four hits in the loss.
In game one behind freshman Leslie Svoboda's two RBIs and Jenny Pritchard's four-hitter, UNO defeated Truman State 4-2.
All of UNO's runs were scored in the bottom of the first. Highlighting the inning was Svoboda's inside-the-park homer scoring Nicole Vos who reached on a double.
Pritchard(5-0) gave up two runs on four hits while striking out one to earn her fifth victory of the season.
UNO (10-7) will continue at the Rebel Spring Games and is set to play Indianapolis and St. Xavier at 12:30 and 4:10 respectively Thursday afternoon.
