Mavs Win Three at Missouri Western Tournament

ST. JOSEPH, Mo.--Behind hot bats, UNO now 6-2, picked up three wins in the Missouri Western Tournament.
In game one versus Northwest Missouri State, Lauren McArthur and Erin Bluml each homered as UNO rode the arm of Jenny Pritchard(2-0) in an 8-0 6-inning shut out of the Bearcats. Freshman Alison Jergenson went 3-4 at the plate also stealing a base.
Against Truman State, Shilo Jorgensen broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the fifth with her second long-ball of the season. Kelsey Warning homered twice, going 2-4 at the plate with three RBI's. Cheris Kuster picked up her second win of the season scattering seven hits.
In the final game of the evening, UNO outlasted Missouri Southern, defeating the Lions 2-1. Freshman Cayte Billman(2-1) picked up the win for the Mavs.
The Mavericks are riding a six-game win streak as they will be back into action Sunday at the Missouri Western Tournament as they face 19th-ranked Emporia State at 11 a.m. followed by Washburn at 3 p.m.
