Mavs Rally Late to Beat Holy Cross

BRADENTON, FL -- Matt Meyer's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted UNO to a 9-8 win over Division I Holy Cross on Sunday.
Nebraska-Omaha trailed 8-7 heading into the ninth before Lyle Lafountain tied the score with an RBI single. Lafountain finished the game 2-for-3 with a homerun and 2 RBI.
Chad Leon and Josh Shirk each had three hits apiece to help lead UNO offensively.
Mark Boehm (1-0) picked up his first win of the season after throwing the final two innings.
UNO (6-2) will face Southern Illinois-Edwardsville tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
