Mavs Take 2 From Minnesota-Duluth

DULUTH, MN --The Nebraska-Omaha baseball team used solid pitching performances from Troy Cloyd and Nick Russell to sweep an NCC baseball doubleheader from Minnesota-Duluth, 5-0 and 2-1 on Saturday.
Cloyd fired a three-hit shutout in the first game, striking out 11 batters for his seventh complete game of the year. Jeff Hansen and David Bodnar each drove in two runs to lead UNO.
Nebraska-Omaha trailed 1-0 in the second game before Chad Leon belted a two-run blast in the fifth inning to put the Mavs up for good. Russell allowed just four hits over seven innings and fanned eight.
The Mavs (25-11, 5-1 NCC) will play another doubleheader against UMD on Sunday.
