Mavs Complete Sweep of Minnesota-Duluth

DULUTH, MN -- Nebraska-Omaha's Chad Leon launched his second decisive home run in as many days as the Mavericks completed a four-game weekend sweep of Minnesota-Duluth on Sunday, winning 7-2 and 3-2.
Leon's sixth home run of the season proved to be the difference as the junior gave the Mavs their only lead at 3-2 of the second game with an eighth-inning blast to right field.
In the afternoon's first game, UNO sophomore Josh Shirk went 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in. Min Sung also slammed a three-run homer in the seventh inning for the Mavs. Brent Jackson scattered seven hits in seven innings to earn his fifth victory of the season.
The Mavericks, now 27-11 overall and 7-1 in the NCC, will see their next action on Friday at Augustana College.
