Ballclub Reaches NCC Tournament Final

OMAHA, NE -- The UNO baseball team defeated Minnesota Duluth 7-1 Saturday afternoon to advance to Sunday's North Central Conference Championship game at Seymour Smith Park.
Nebraska-Omaha struck for four runs in the fifth inning and built a 7-1 with three runs in the seventh inning.
UNO (39-17) pounded out 13 hits and were led by Marc Centofante's 4-for-5 performance at the plate. Troy Cloyd had three hits for the Mavs.
The Mavericks' Tim Huber scattered five hits over six innings to record his fourth win of the season. Huber allowed one earned run, striking out five and walking five.
Nebraska-Omaha is searching for its first NCC title in 24 years and will play Minnesota State, Mankato, a 7-2 winner over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday evening.
UNO and MSU will play at noon on Saturday. An if necessary game will follow 1 hour after the conclusion of the noon game
