UNO Prepares for Regional Tournament

OMAHA, Neb.--After claiming the North Central Conference tournament title last weekend, Nebraska-Omaha will take its 34-21-1 record to Emporia, Kan. as the fifth seed in the North Central Regional Tournament Thursday through Sunday. UNO will kick off the tournament Thursday at 10 a.m. against No. 4 seed Truman State.
Nebraska-Omaha will be making its sixteenth straight trip to the NCAA tournament finishing fifth in last years play-offs. The Mavs have finished first five times, with the last instance in 2001, also the year they took home the national crown.
The winner of the North Central Regional advances to the NCAA II College World Series in Salem, VA., May 19-22 and will face the Mid-Atlantic Region winner in the opening round.
