Christensen Leads UNO to Sweep Over Drury

OMAHA, Neb. -- Sophomore middle blocker Carlie Christensen pounded 13 kills and hit .619 as the University of Nebraska at Omaha swept past Drury 30-27, 30-21, 30-14 before 408 fans at the Sapp Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon in the 2005 Omaha Executive Inn & Suites Classic.
Christensen, who also recorded four blocks, had no errors in 21 attempts to help lead the Mavericks to a season-high .369 team attack percentage. Senior middle blocker Briana Ritter hit .643 with 9 kills in 14 attempts, with no errors. Ritter also collected a team-high seven blocks.
The Mavericks outblocked Drury 24 to 5 and held a 54-43 dig advantage, while holding the Panthers to a .076 attack percentage.
Senior libero Chelsea Miller recorded a team-high 23 digs along with one service ace. Senior setter Christie Johnson tallied 40 assists, five kills, and three digs in the victory.
Nebraska-Omaha will conclude the tournament with a 6 p.m. match Saturday against Southern Illinois - Edwardsville.
