
Seven Named NFCA All-American Scholars

STARKVILLE, Miss. - The University of Nebraska at Omaha softball team landed seven student-athletes on the 2006 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar Athlete team announced by the NFCA office today. Mavericks on the team included seniors Shilo Jorgensen (Lafayette, Colo.) and Lauren McArthur (Hazelwood, Mo.), juniors Taren Tuley (Holton, Kan.), Kellyn Kramolisch (Omaha, Neb.), Cheris Kuster (Roca, Neb.), sophomore Alison Jergenson (Lincoln, Neb.), and freshman Brooke Wagner.
A three-time academic all-North Central Conference honoree, Jorgensen is a secondary education major. She is a four-time selection to the team.
McArthur, a three-time all-NCC selection, is an education major.
Tuley, an education major, is a three-year selection to the prestigious squad and a 2006 all-NCC honoree.
Kramolisch, a three-year starter at second base, is a pre-physical therapy major.
Kuster, the school's all-time strikeout leader and three-time all-NCC honoree, is an education major.
Jergenson, a two-year starter in center field, is a psychology major.
Wagner, a starter at short stop last season, is a majoring in biology.
Student-athletes must acquire at least a 3.5 GPA to be eligible for the award.
As a team, the Mavericks ranked 8th in the nation with a 3.422 GPA.
