ParseaEUs Late Goal Helps Mavs Tie MSU, 4-4

MANKATO, Minn.- The University of Nebraska at Omaha ended its five-game losing streak with a 4-4 tie at Minnesota State, Mankato Tuesday night in non-conference hockey action.
In the first period on a rush down the ice senior forward Brent Kisio scored the first goal of the game on a pass across the slot from senior defenseman Dan Knapp at 14:05.
Thirty-four seconds into the second stanza Knapp shot from the point and junior forward Brandon Scero tapped the puck in to put the Mavs up 2-0.
MSU got on the board with Jon Kalinski's short-handed goal at 4:41.
Sophomore Adam Bartholomay put the Mavs up 3-1 on a power-play goal at 5:36.
Minnesota State scored back-to-back goals from Mick Berge and Travis Morin to tie it 3-3.
In the third MSU took the lead when Mouillierat scored at 5:32.
Scott Parse tied it at 4-4 with a marker at 9:26 in the third forcing the game into overtime.
Freshman goalie Jeremie Dupont had two saves and MSU's Mike Zacharias recorded three saves as both teams went scoreless in the overtime period.
UNO still trails in the series with MSU 5-11-3. The Mavs will match up against Minnesota State again at the Qwest in Omaha on January 16th at 7:05 p.m.
This weekend the Mavs resume with Central Collegiate Hockey Association play when they host Notre Dame Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday at 7:35 p.m.
