Freerksen Earns Player of Week Nod

Senior forward Ashley Freerksen has been named the Nebraska NCAA Division II player of the week for her performances in UNO's two weekend basketball victories.
Freerksen, from Des Moines, Iowa, scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a win over Colorado Mines. She added 15 points and seven rebounds in Saturday night's victory over Caldwell College in UNO's Howard Johnson Classic.
Over the two games, Freerksen connected on 16 of 24 shots from the field, added five assists and three steals.
UNO, 4-0, will play Tuesday night at Nebraska-Kearney.
