MarshallaEUs Hat Trick Gives UNO 4-1 Victory

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Bryan Marshall's first-period hat trick boosted the Mavericks to a 4-1 Central Collegiate Hockey Association win over Bowling Green Friday. The victory, in the first of a two-game series with the Falcons, was the first for UNO on the road this season.
Marshall scored his first goal of the night on a power play at 12:13 with the assists going to Brandon Scero and Phil Angell. Marshall had a second power play marker at 17:31 from the left circle with the assist going to junior forward Mick Lawrence and Scero. Marshall completed his natural hat trick at 19:04 on a breakaway.
Tomas Klempa gave the Mavericks a 4-0 cushion with the team's third power-play goal of the night 12:00 into the second period.
BGSU got on the board with a power-play goal from Kai Kantola at 13:53 to spoil goaltender Jermie Dupont's bid for a second shutout of the season.
All three stars went to Mavericks with the number one to Marshall, two going to Scero and number three star going to freshman goalie Jeremie Dupont.
UNO will meet Bowling Green again Saturday night at 6:05 CST at the BGSU Ice Arena.
