UNO Blanks No. 15 Mesa State, 1-0

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--UNO freshman Tyler Cloyd pitched six scoreless innings of one-hit ball to lead Nebraska-Omaha to a 1-0 win over No. 15 Mesa State at the UNLV/CMSU Tournament on Saturday.
Cloyd (1-0) struck out six and teamed up with junior Josh Lundin for the shutout. Lundin scattered two hits over the final three innings for the save.
The only run in the game came in the first inning. Senior Chad Leon led off the game with a double and scored on an RBI single by sophomore Brian Frew.
UNO (4-2) will face No. 1 Central Missouri State on Sunday afternoon.
