
Mavs Knock Off No. 1 Central Missouri State

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--The Nebraska-Omaha baseball team rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth inning to knock off No. 1 ranked Central Missouri State, 12-10, on Sunday afternoon.
The game was tied 9-9 heading into the final frame before Chad Leon, Min Sung and Brian Frew had consecutive RBI singles with two outs to put the Mavericks up 12-9.
Blake Denoyer came on in the ninth to record his third save of the season.
UNO's James Adams belted a two-out grand slam in the fifth inning and Frew collected five hits to lead the Mavs offensively.
"We battled the heck out of those guys," UNO head coach Bob Herold said. "Everytime they scored, we responded."
Nebraska-Omaha improved to 5-2 on the season and will play at Missouri Western on February 28.
