Mavs to Host Coyotes Wednesday

The mild weather this week has prompted the Mavericks to open their home schedule a month earlier than expected, Coach Jeanne Tostenson Scarpello said Monday. UNO will host South Dakota in a doubleheader Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Claussen-Westgate Field. UNO is 2-2 on the young season.
After Wednesday's games, the Mavericks will play Saturday and Sunday in the Missouri Western Regional Crossover Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo. UNO is scheduled to play Truman State and Washburn Saturday, followed by games Sunday against Emporia State and Missouri Western.
