Mavs Face 5-Game Quincy Tournament

The Mavericks, with two doubleheaders postponed by the weather, will go to the Quincy Invitational March. 25-26 where they will play five games.
Last Week
The Mavericks were 12-0 on their trip to Florida in the Rebel Spring Games March 11-16. Lauren McArthur and Leslie Svoboda led the offense, each hitting .469. Svoboda drove in 17 runs with four homers and McArthur hit three homers, five doubles and drove in eight. Taren Tuley went 5-0, Cayte Billman was 4-0 and Cheris Kuster was both 3-0. The three combined to shut out nine opponents.

Nebraska-Omaha is 18-3 entering this week's play, with a winning streak of 13 intact.
The Coach
Maverick head coach Jeanne Tostenson Scarpello enters her seventh season at UNO with a record of 290-79-1. She has led the team to five NCC titles and six straight regional tournament appearances, including the national title in 2001. Her assistants are Michala Cimino, in her ninth season, and Denise Peterson, in her seventh year.
