Svoboda Gathers NCC Honor

Leslie Svoboda's dominating offensive performance last week in helping the Mavericks sweep five games in the Quincy Invitational, earned her North Central Conference Player of the Week honors.
Svoboda, a sophomore from Lincoln, went 13-for-15, scored 11 runs and drove in 10. She had two doubles, a triple and six home runs and against Lake Superior State she hit for the cycle in her four at-bats.
Svoboda leads the team with a .512 batting average with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. She has an eight-game hitting streak and has hit home runs in a UNO record six straight games.
UNO is next scheduled to play at South Dakota on Wednesday in a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader.
