Friday Games Off; Mavs Host Weekend Meet Next

The Mavericks return home with a 20-game winning streak when they host the UNO Tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Dill Softball Complex in which they will play five games. Friday's scheduled NCC doublheader with Minnesota State, Mankato has been postponed with no new date set because of wet grounds.

The Mavericks swept all five games in the Quincy Invitational and then downed South Dakota 8-2 and 13-5 Wednesday to stretch their winning streak to 20 games.
The Record
No. 14-ranked Nebraska-Omaha is 25-3 entering this weekend's play, with 20 straight wins.
The Coach
Maverick head coach Jeanne Tostenson Scarpello enters her seventh season at UNO with a record of 297-79-1. She has led the team to five NCC titles and six straight regional tournament appearances, including the national title in 2001. Her assistants are Michala Cimino, in her ninth season, and Denise Peterson, in her seventh year.
