Mavs Head to Emporia for NCAA Regional

Nebraska-Omaha will meet Wayne State in the first round of the May 18-21 NCAA Division II Central Regional Thursday at noon in Emporia, Kan. The brackets were announced early Monday for the six-team double-elimination field, which will be hosted by Emporia State.
Head Coach Bob Herold's Mavericks are the No. 3 seed at 43-12. Wayne State is the No. 4 seed at 37-13-1.
In other first-round games Emporia State will play Missouri Western State and Minnesota State, Mankato will play Central Missouri State.
All games will be played at Glennen Field in the Trusler Sports Complex. Game times will be noon, 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. each day.
The tournament winner advances to the Division II College World Series, May 27 though June 3 in Montgomery, Ala.
Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for youth for a one day pass.
