Nebraska-Omaha senior outfielder Chad Leon was named an NCBWA Second-Team All-American on Thursday.
Leon, the NCC Player of the year, led the league in walks (16), on-base percentage (.623) and hitting (.458) and finished tied for third in doubles (5). He hit a team-high 13 homers and drove in 44 runs while stealing a school record 28 bases.
The Mavs finished the season with a 45-14 record and finished third at the NCAA II Central Regional.
