Huber Earns Spot on All-Star Squad

Maverick left-hander Tim Huber, playing for Eau Claire, was named to the 25-man Northwoods League all-star team, announced last week by the league. Huber, a junior from Omaha, was 5-2 with a 1.67 ERA for the Express. He also tied for the league lead with 2 shutouts.
Teammate Brian Frew, an outfielder for Eau Claire, finished eighth in the league in batting with a .294 average. Frew, a junior from Grand Island, Neb., led the team with seven doubles, drove in 15 runs and stole six bases in 62 games.
Another player from last year's Maverick NCAA II tournament team, outfielder Min Sung, was drafted in the fourth round by the Korean Professional Baseball League.
