
Mavericks Slip to 3rd

LAKE CITY, Minn. -- Lindsay Newton's 80 led the Mavericks Sunday, but UNO slipped from second to a third-place finish with a final round 339 Sunday in the Concordia-St. Paul Invitational. Augustana won the tournament with a 644, followed by Winona State at 658.
Newton finished at 162 for the 36-hole event at The Jewel Golf Course. Junior Lynn Mulligan, who was in second place after the first round, shot an 85 Sunday and finished in a three-way tie at 160 behind individual champion Carly Roach of Augustana who shot a 72-73--145.
The other scores Sunday included 87s by Rachael Mooberry and Sara Wolfe and a 93 by Kate O'Dea. Erin Ommen, with an 82, and Amy Powell, with an 80, competed as individuals.
