Mavs Entertain No. 22 UNK in Home Opener

After 14 straight road matches, the 17th-ranked UNO Maverick volleyball team (10-4/0-2) will will make their home debut on Thursday, Sept. 21 when they entertain No. 22 Nebraska-Kearney (11-3) in a 7 p.m. match at the Sapp Fieldhouse.

The Record
The Mavericks are currently 10-4 on the season and 0-2 in the North Central Conference after losing a pair of conference matches last weekend. Nebraska-Omaha was swept 3-0 (30-20, 30-23, 30-23) at fith-ranked Minnesota Duluth in the NCC opener on Sept. 15. The Mavericks then dropped a tough five-game (30-24, 27-30, 31-33, 30-24, 16-14) match at Minnesota State, Mankato on Sept. 16.

In the CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll released on Sept. 19, Nebraska-Omaha was ranked No. 17. Minnesota Duluth is the only other NCC school ranked as they enter this week's competition at No. 6. Nebraska-Kearney is currently ranked No. 22.
