No. 12 UNO Sweeps FHSU, Wins 9th Straight

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Junior Carlie Christensen registered nine kills and four blocks and hit .500 as the 12th-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team swept Fort Hays State 3-0 (30-28, 30-19, 30-23) at the Washburn Lady Blues Classic Friday afternoon. UNO improved to 9-0 on the season, while FHSU fell to 1-9.
Christina Reicks, Nicole McLeod, and Kelli Goeser each added eight kills as UNO outhit the Tigers .203 to .071.
Annie Rice led the Mavericks at the service line with three service aces, while Stacie Wemhoff directed the UNO defense with 14 digs. Kayla Jansen added 13 digs in the match.
The Mavericks will continue action in the Lady Blues Classic later today when they battle fourth-ranked Truman State at 1 p.m.
