UNO Looks to Stay Perfect At Home in NCC Opener

The University of Nebraska-Omaha women's basketball team returns to conference play Saturday, after a one-game break, facing Minnesota Duluth at 2 p.m. at Sapp Fieldhouse.
The Mavericks will play out the rest of the season against North Central Conference competition, closing out their nonconference slate with an 11-3 record following Tuesday's win over Southwest Minnesota State.
The Bulldogs narrowly missed upsetting No. 16 Augustana, falling 57-56. UMD led by as many as 13 in the second half, but the Vikings rallied back for their 18th-straight victory.
UNO plays two games next week, hosting South Dakota Thursday, and then traveling north to face preseason conference favorite North Dakota on Saturday, Jan. 20.
