UNO Seeks First Conference Win Against South Dakot

The UNO women's basketball team faces a tough challenge in finding its first conference win, as it hosts No. 18 South Dakota Thursday, then heading to No. 1 North Dakota Saturday.
The Coyotes are still seeking their first conference win after two tries, after posting a 13-1 record in nonconference play. Both NCC losses were by two points, including an overtime defeat to North Dakota.
The Sioux have already reached the 20-win mark for the year, going 3-0 in NCC play after a 17-1 run in nonconference action. They have won 15 in a row overall.
UNO rallied from an 11-point deficit to take the lead against Minnesota Duluth last week, but ultimately fell by a single point. The loss was UNO's first at home since Feb. 4, 2006 against Augustana, breaking a 10-game home win streak.
