UNO Opens NCC Play at Augustana

The UNO men's basketball team begins the new year with its North Central Conferene opener against Augustana, playing at Sioux Fall Arena Thursday night at 8.
The Vikings are riding a five-game win streak, having gone 13-2 in nonconference play. They overcame an 11-point deficit to defeat Southwest Minnesota State, 66-61, on Sunday. Nick Olson scored 21 points to lead Augustana.
Last year the Mavericks and Vikings split their two meetings, with the visiting team winning each contest. The Mavericks hold a 39-35 edge in the all-time series.
