Mavericks Host North Dakota Saturday Night

The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team (9-8/2-4 NCC) will host North Central Conference rival North Dakota (5-13/0-4 NCC) on Saturday, Oct. 13 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Sapp Fieldhouse. The Sioux will take on 14th-ranked Augustana on Friday night before heading to Omaha.

The Mavericks are currently 9-8 overall and 2-4 in the North Central Conference after dropping a pair of matches last week, losing a hard-fought five-game home match to No. 3 Minnesota Duluth on Friday, before falling to 10th-ranked Augustana on Saturday in three games in Sioux Falls.

In the latest CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll released on Oct. 8, Nebraska-Omaha received votes. North Central Conference schools in the top 25 included: Minnesota Duluth (3), Minnesota State (13), and Augustana (14).
Christensen Reaches 1,000-Kill Mark
With her second kill against Northwest Missouri State on Sept. 19, All-American Carlie Christensen became the 16th player in school history to record 1,000 career kills. The senior from Omaha has now tallied 1,088 kills to date.
