Christensen Named NCC Offensive POW

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- For the second time this season, Carlie Christensen has earned North Central Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors in a vote by league officials.
Christensen, a senior from Omaha, hit .492 (33k-4e-59ta) while averaging 5.50 kills and 1.83 blocks per game in the Mavericks two road victories last week at Upper Iowa and South Dakota.
Christensen was especially dominating in the victory over the Coyotes, hitting .622 with 24 kills, only one error, in 37 attempts, while collecting five blocks. She recorded nine kills and six blocks in the sweep over Upper Iowa.
The Mavericks return home on Friday night, Oct. 26, for a 7 p.m. match with Augustana.
