Final Home Matches on Tap Against Ranked Teams

The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team (12-8/4-4 NCC) will host their final home matches of the 2007 season this week in the Sapp Fieldhouse when the Mavericks entertain No. 13 Augustana (16-7/5-3 NCC) on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. and 12th-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato (16-6/4-3 NCC) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 27.
Senior Night
The Mavericks three seniors, Katie Agnew, Carlie Christensen, and Nicole McLeod will be honored before Saturday night's match.
The Record
The Mavericks are currently 12-8 overall and 4-4 in the North Central Conference after winning a pair of road matches last week, sweeping both Upper Iowa (30-24, 30-18, 31-29) and South Dakota (32-30, 30-19, 30-27). UNO has now swept three-straight opponents.
The Rankings
In the latest CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll released on Oct. 22, North Central Conference schools ranked in the top 25 included: Minnesota Duluth (3), Minnesota State (12), and Augustana (13). South Dakota received votes.
Christensen Reaches 1,000-Kill Mark
With her second kill against Northwest Missouri State on Sept. 19, All-American Carlie Christensen became the 16th player in school history to record 1,000 career kills. The senior from Omaha has now tallied 1,132 kills to date.
