Mavericks Host No. 2 Michigan

The Mavericks continue Central Collegiate Hockey Association play this weekend with a two-game series vs. No. 2 ranked Michigan. Game times are at 7:05 p.m. CDT Friday and on Saturday at the Qwest Center Omaha.
UNO (1-2-0, 0-2-0 CCHA) returns to the ice after being swept by No. 1 Miami last weekend in Oxford, Ohio. Michigan (5-1-0, 2-0-0 CCHA) comes to Omaha after a sweep of Boston University at the Yost.
For The cure
Friday night UNO will present a check for over $20,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The money was raised during the Mutual of Omaha Stampede.
Media Coverage
The games will be broadcast on KKAR, 1290 AM, with the pregame show beginning 20 minutes before face-off. Greg Harrington will call the action, with Terry Leahy providing color commentary.
The Coaches
Nebraska-Omaha's Mike Kemp is in his 11th season as the Maverick head coach. Kemp is a 1975 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. The Duluth, Minn., native is 163-187-47 at UNO overall and has a 100-101-33 mark in the CCHA. Michigan coach Red Berenson is in his 24th season with the Wolverines and boasts a 611-292-64 career record.

Michigan leads the series 18-4-3 with the advantage of 10-1-0 in Ann Arbor and 7-2-3 in Omaha.
Last Week
No. 2 Miami swept UNO 7-2 and 5-2 in a conference series in Oxford, Ohio. After the sweep of the Mavs Miami has moved up in the rankings, replacing North Dakota in the No. 1 spot in the USCHO.com/CSTV Top 20.
Coming up
The Mavericks will head back out on the road for yet another CCHA match up, this time with Ohio State in a Thursday-Friday series. The games have been moved to earlier in the week due to the No. 1 Ohio State football game against Illinois.
