South Bend, Ind. - The University of Nebraska at Omaha Maverick hockey team will face-off against Central Collegiate Hockey Association foe No. 7 Notre Dame this Friday at 6:35 p.m. CST and Saturday at 6:05 p.m. CST at the Joyce Center.

The games will be broadcast on KKAR, 1290 AM, with the pre-game show beginning 30 minutes before face-off. Greg Harrington will call the action, with Terry Leahy providing color com-
mentary.
The Records
UNO now stands at 5-5-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the conference. Notre Dame is 12-4-0 overall and 8-2-0 in the conference.
The Coaches
Nebraska-Omaha's Mike Kemp is in his 11th season as the Maverick head coach. Kemp is a 1975 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. The Duluth, Minn., native is 167-192-48 at UNO overall and has a 94-106-34 mark in the CCHA. Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson is in his third season with the Irish and holds a 57-30-7 record during his tenure there.
The Series
The Fighting Irish hold a slight advantage in the overall series record 10-9-4, but in South Bend the series is knotted at 4-4-2.
Last Meeting
Last season, the teams met four times with the Irish winning two, losing one and tying the fourth. At South Bend, the Irish won 4-2 and tied the Mavericks, 2-2 on Feb. 9-10. The last time the Mavericks won at the Joyce Center was Feb. 5, 2005, a 6-3 decision. UNO is 0-1-1 since that win.
Last Week
UNO defeated Alaska in a come-from-behind 4-3 win last Friday at the Qwest Center Omaha and tied the Nanooks 4-4 the following night. It was sophomore defenseman Eddie Del Grosso who
scored the game-winner to give the Mavericks the fi rst-ever three-game win streak over the Nanooks.

Lake Superior will make the long trip to Omaha for a two-game series against the Mavs at the Qwest Center Omaha Dec. 7-8. Both games will start at 7:05 p.m. CST. In Omaha, the Mavericks lead
the series 8-3-1.
