Mavs Visit No. 4 Northwest Missouri State

The University of Nebraska-Omaha men's basketball team, standing at 5-0 for the first time in four years, faces its toughest challenge to date this season, as the Mavericks take on No. 4 Northwest Missouri State Saturday at 7 at Bearcat Arena.
The Bearcats are coming off a pair of wins at Southern Indiana's Thanksgiving Tournament, which included a victory against 10th-ranked SIU. Hunter Henry is the reigning MIAA Player of theWeek after averaging 17 points and seven rebounds in three games. Andy Peterson has scored 20 and 19 points in each of his last two games and is averaging close to 12 this season.
Northwest has fared exceptionally well at home against non-conference opponents, winning 55 of its last 56 games dating back to the 1996-97 season. The Bearcats have won 19 straight games at Bearcat Arena overall, a mark that is tied for the third-longest home winning streak in Division II. The Bearcats hold a 5-4 all-time advantage over UNO, with the last meeting an 86-65 victory in 1978.
