Irish Shut Out Mavericks to Complete Sweep

South Bend, Ind. - The University of Nebraska at Omaha Mavericks were shut out on the road, 5-0, by Notre Dame in Saturday night's Central Collegiate Hockey Association match-up.
The Mavericks fell to 5-7-1 overall and 4-7-1 in the CCHA and Notre Dame continued its win streak to improve to 14-4-0 overall and 10-2-0 in the conference.
Notre Dame scored single goals in the first two periods. Senior Mark Van Guilder netted a shorthanded goal 3:31 into the first stanza and late into the second Christian Hanson gave the Irish a 2-0 lead with an even-strength goal.
ND had three markers in the third from Teddy Ruth, Ryan Thang and Ian Cole to finish scoring.
