Mavs Close Out Year With Three-Game Hawaii Trip

The University of Nebraska-Omaha women's basketball team is making its first-ever visit to the Hawaiian islands, ending the calendar year with a three-game road swing against BYU-Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade. UNO (11-1) will be playing its first game with each of the schools it will visit this weekend.
The Mavs previously played only one team from Hawaii, hosting Hawaii-Hilo last year, defeating the Vulcans, 97-61, for coach Patty Patton-Shearer's 100th career win.
Each of the Mavs' opponents are seeking their first win of the season. Saturday's foe, BYU-Hawaii, and Sunday's opponent, Hawaii Pacific, are both 0-8. Chaminade, who UNO faces on New Year's Eve, is 0-6.
