Mavericks Win 9th Straight, 108-49

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- LaToya Wright's 28-point performance led five players in double figures as the Mavericks posted their ninth straight victory, 108-49, Monday night over Chaminade. The win boosts UNO to 14-1, its best start in school history.
The Mavericks shot a sizzling 65 percent the second half from the floor and 54.5 percent for the game in winning their third in a row on their trip to Hawaii.
Wright, a junior guard from Galesburg, Ill., connected on 12 of 17 shots from the field and 2 of her 3 three-point attempts in racking up a career-high for the second straight night. She scored 72 points and led the team in scoring in all three games. Monday, she also led the team with eight rebounds.
Alyssa Green added 18 points, Cayla Hargrove 17, Kylee Rinehart 13 and Mary Brown 10.
Chaminade (0-7), was led by Samantha Saito, who scored 15 points, and Katherine Carlisle, who added 12.
UNO is idle until opening North Central Conference play Jan. 10 against Augustana.
