Mavs Cruise Again, Defeat York, 93-54

The University of Nebraska-Omaha women's basketball team saw four players score in double figures, coasting to a 93-54 nonconference victory over York College Friday night at Sapp Fieldhouse.
The Mavericks (8-1) shot 44.7 percent in the first half, reaching a double-figure lead after just five minutes. The Mavs would put the game out of reach early, going on a 25-6 run in the final six minutes of the half, taking a 54-25 lead into the break. Alyssa Green scored 18 in the first half for UNO, going on to score a game-high 20.
The hot shooting continued in the second half with UNO hitting only 46.9 percent of its field goal tries. By game's end, three other players joined Green in double-digits. LaToya Wright scored 14, Cayla Hargrove dropped 12, and Ashley Nelson scored 10 to go with six rebounds.
Amanda Brodsack led the Mavs on the glass with eight rebounds, with Green grabbing seven. Lindsey Klug had seven assists for the second game in a row.
Caitlin Martin was the top scorer for the Panthers (2-8) with 15 points. Ashley Calvin and Kaylena Anderson added 10 each.
The Mavericks continue their homestand next Friday with a 6 p.m. game against future MIAA opponent Northwest Missouri State.
