UNO Ranked No. 11 in NFCA Preseason Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha softball team is ranked No. 11 in the nation in the 2007 NFCA Preseason Top 25 Poll released today.
The Mavericks return seven starters and two pitchers from last season's 47-13 squad that advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 17th-straight season. Nebraska-Omaha finished first in the 2006 regular season North Central Conference standings with an 11-1 mark.
The Mavericks open the 2007 season when they travel to Edwardsville, Ill. on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 24-25, to participate in the SIU-Edwardsville Tournament.
