Mavs Close Out Season with Minnesota Swing

The University of Nebraska-Omaha women's basketball team closes out the regular season with visits to Minnesota Duluth Thursday and Minnesota State, Mankato Saturday.
Though the Mavericks are in sixth place with a 3-7 conference record, they are only 1.5 games out of fourth place and a home game in the first round of the NCC Tournament. UNO would need to win both games this week. If South Dakota defeats Augustana Wednesday, the Bulldogs would have to defeat St. Cloud State Saturday, and UNO could top the Huskies in the tiebreaker.
UNO scored a season-high 102 points when it hosted MSU on Feb. 10, with senior Karen Thies scoring a career-high 36 points, leading the home team to a 102-80 victory.
UMD visited UNO on Jan. 13, stealing a 60-59 win. The Mavs had a dreadful first half, but recovered to make the game tight down the stretch, but the Bulldogs won the game in the final seconds.
