Season-Opening Tournament Canceled

The 11th-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha softball team's season- opening tournament at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville has been canceled due to poor field conditions in Edwardsville. The Mavericks, who were scheduled to play four games in the tournament on Feb. 24-25, will not make up the games.
Nebraska-Omaha will now open the 2007 season in St. Joseph, Mo. on Mar. 3-4 when they compete in the Missouri Western Tournament.
