UNO Begins Homestand Looking for Sweep of St. Clou

The UNO women's basketball team begins a three-game homestand this week with match-ups against St. Cloud State and Minnesota State. Next week the Mavs take on No. 1 North Dakota.
St. Cloud State's Erika Quigley was named NCC Player of the Week for the sixth time this season, leading the Huskies to wins over No. 1 North Dakota and Minnesota State. She is averaging 25.8 points and 11.9 rebounds in conference games, ranking first and second, respectively. UNO won in St. Cloud on Jan. 27 in a game that saw neither team score in the last 3:11.
This will be the first meeting of the year with MSU. Last season the teams split the series with the home team winning each game. Sophomore Heather Johnson leads the team in scoring in conference play with 10.6 points per game. Another sophomore, Alex Andrews, is right behind with 10.1 per game. Andrews is the top rebounder with 5.0 per game.
