Game On! Baseball Tournament To Be Played

The recent snowstorm has not affected the baseball schedule as of yet, so the three games the University of Nebraska-Omaha are scheduled for in Warrensburg, Mo. are still slated to be played.
The Mavs (2-4) are led offensively by Tyler Cloyd, who is batting .429 with a home run and team-high seven RBIs, scoring six runs. Matt Eikmeyer it hitting at a .462 clip with one homer and five RBIs, also scoring six runs. Chris Weimer leads the team with two dingers, both coming in one game against Regis.
UNO opens the weekend's action at Crane Stadium at Central Missouri with an 11 a.m. contest with Bemidji State Friday. The Beavers are still looking for their first win of the season after dropping four straight games to Emporia State. Josh Juntunen has gone 6-for-10 at the plate with a home run and two doubles, driving in three runs.
Saturday the Mavericks take on Upper Iowa Saturday at noon. The Peacocks are also winless at 0-3, suffering a sweep at the hands of Ouchita Baptist, with three other games cancelled due to weather. Dan Berg batted .333 in the first three games with two doubles.
UNO finishes the tournament Sunday against the host Mules. Central Missouri is 8-2 on the season and 5-0 at home. Gered Mochizuki is the Mules top hitter with a .424 average. Nick Jaros is hitting .308 with four homers and 12 RBIs. Pitcher Kris Webber has earned the win in all three appearances, two of them starts, allowing no runs on only eight hits in 15 innings.
