Kuster NCC Pitcher of Week

Senior Cheris Kuster, who helped UNO to a 7-5 record on its spring trip to Florida with three victories, was named a pitcher of the week in the North Central Conference. Kuster, from Roca, Neb., struck out 35, walked just five and had an earned run average of 0.59 on the trip.
UNO will open its home softball season Wednesday with a 3 p.m. doubleheader against 21-7 Emporia State at Claussen-Westgate Field, hoping to extend its four-game winning streak.
