Mavericks Win 2; Russell Ties for Lead in Wins

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Mavericks got back on the winning track Saturday with a pair of North Central Conference victories and Maggie Russell moved into a tie for the career-victory leadership with two wins.
UNO downed St. Cloud State 6-3 and South Dakota 8-1.
UNO will conclude its regular season Sunday with duals against Augustana at 9 a.m. and Minnesota Duluth at noon at McKennan Park in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Mavericks are now 10-5 overall and 4-0 in the NCC. Russell won both of her No. 2 singles matches and now has 45 for her career, tying her with assistant coach Sarah Huls.
No. 1 singles player Rachel Faulk swept to a pair of wins in straight sets without losing a game to give her a team-high 11 singles wins this year.
