Mavericks 3rd After 1st Round at Ironwood

Lynn Mulligan stands second after a six-over 78 Sunday, and the Mavericks are in third place as a team with a 338 after one round of the 36-hole Ironwood Collegiate Classic at Ironwood Country Club. The 45-player field will tee off at 9:30 a.m. Monday for the final round.
Augustana's Courtney Belanger shot a 75 to help the Vikings take the first-round lead with a 326. South Dakota is second with a 337 total.
Mulligan went out in 40 and then shot a 38 on the back nine, givin her one of just three rounds int he 70s on the day over the par-72, 6,009-yard course.
