Cloyd Named Pitcher of the Week

University of Nebraska-Omaha sophomore Tyler Cloyd has been named the North Central Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week against Emporia State.
Cloyd, from Bellevue, Neb., pitched a complete-game three-hitter in the first game of a doubleheader last Tuesday. All three hits were singles and the run came in on a sacrifice fly. He struck out nine batters while walking just one. His record on the year stands at a 3-2 with a 2.06 ERA, adding a team-high 37 strikeouts.
