McDowell Named NCC Player of the Week

Junior first baseman Jenifer McDowell has been named the North Central Conference player of the week. McDowell, from Rio Rancho, N.M., batted .545 last week as UNO won four of six games.
McDowell tied the school record with three home runs in a 9-3 win over Augustana, driving in eight runs. For the week, she had four home runs and drove in 14.
The Mavericks are on the road this week, facing first-place Minnesota State in Mankato in a Friday doubleheader before playing five games in the MSU Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
