Erin Brosz Added to Maverick Volleyball Staff

University of Nebraska at Omaha head volleyball coach Rose Shires announced today that former University of Nebraska at Kearney All-American Erin Brosz has been added to the Maverick volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach. She will assume her coaching duties in August.
Brosz was a second team AVCA All-American for the Lopers in 2005 leading UNK to 38-2 overall record and a runner-up finish at the NCAA II Elite Eight. Brosz led the Lopers to a 140-15 mark in her four seasons and to three-consecutive trips to the Elite Eight.
She was a three-time all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection and was named to the AVCA all-Southwest Region first team on two occasions.
Brosz holds the UNK record for career hitting percentage (.372) and ranks second with 384 career block assists.
An excellent student, Brosz was a four-time academic all-RMAC honoree as well as a first team CoSida academic all-district VII selection.
"Erin brings to our program a great knowledge of the game and a strong understanding of the middle blocker postion," said Shires. "Erin comes from a long tradition of winning at UNK and we look forward to Erin bringing her competitive drive and winning attitude to our program."
Brosz will be primarily responsible for working with the Maverick middle blockers as well as day-to-day practice and administrative duties. She will also assist in recruiting.
