Kotera, Frew Named to Academic All-Region Team

University of Nebraska-Omaha senior second baseman Alex Kotera was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, while junior third baseman Bryan Frew earned a spot on the second team.
Kotera, a biology major from Wahoo, Neb., achieved a 3.86 GPA, while being a productive No. 2 hitter. He ranked second on the team in on-base percentage and set a school single-season record in sacrifice bunts.
Frew, a mathematics major from Grand Island, Neb., has maintained a 3.55 GPA. As the Mavericks' leadoff batter, he led the team in runs scored, on-base percentage, doubles and stolen bases.
