Eickman Named Academic All-American

UNO senior defenseman Mike Eickman has been named a 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. For the second year in a row Eickman is a third-team selection to the university division squad. The team is selected by a vote of members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Eickman, a Grand Forks, N.D. native, was the 2006 and 2007 CCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
He completed his undergraduate degree with a 3.94 grade point average in pre-dentistry and psychology. Eickman plans to attend the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry in the fall.
